Carson Youman

Carson Youman is a leader of the UT Rugby team both on and off the field. He began his rugby career in Chantilly, Virginia playing for Nova RFC. During his senior season Youman was part of Nova’s state championship winning team. After coming to the University of Texas, Youman had an immediate impact on the team calling shots from the Fly-Half position. Carson has represented UT in the Varsity Cup 15s tournament as well as the Collegiate Rugby Cup 7s tournament.

Off the field Youman serves as Treasurer for the rugby club. Keeping a balanced budget is the most important thing for a club sport, and Carson does a fantastic job of this. He also leads off season conditioning, keeping the players in shape for the season and saving hours of practice time.

The 2016/2017 season will be Carson’s senior year. Hopefully he can lead the team to a Red River Conference championship.
