Texas Rugby went to Texas State on Sept. 28th to compete in the Southwest Conference Seven’s Championship. The tournament was double elimination, giving a losing team a chance at coming back to win it all. Texas went undefeated as we triumphed over Lamar in the first round with 36-0, Rice in the second with 34-5, UNT in the third with 22-15, and UNT again in the championship match with 43-14. Having won, Texas will represent the Southwest Conference in the collegiate national seven’s championship on Nov. 23rd in Greensboro, North Carolina. Hook ‘Em! \m/
Having finished 11-1 in the two Southwest Conference seven’s qualifiers, Texas will be heading to compete in the Southwest Conference Seven’s Championship on September 28th in San Marcos, Texas. There, Texas will have a chance to advance to the Collegiate Seven’s National Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Texas 7’s kicked off this weekend with the first round of the Southwest Conference 7’s series. Texas won 5 out of 6 on the day only losing to UNT 14-10, and is currently tied for 1st in the conference. Hook ‘Em \m/
The University of Texas Rugby 7’s team will be heading to Denton, TX, on Saturday, September 7th, for the first qualifier for the Southwest Conference.
