About Justin Oxford
Justin began his rugby career at Baylor University. Before becoming employed by The University of Texas at Austin, Justin co-founded the Waco Barbarian Men's Rugby Club, where he was both Social Director and player. After moving to Austin in January 2013 Justin spoke with former head coach Texas Rugby, Butch Neuenschwander, and joined the Texas Rugby coaching staff as an assistant coach. Justin is also the team's webmaster and handles all media relations, in collaboration with the team's journalist, Rachel Wenzlaff.

Projects for Underserved Communities-Papua New Guinea, an organization at The University of Texas at Austin, approached Texas Rugby asking for donations for the rugby fans of the Mangiang village in Papua New Guinea. The community and its children were all very excited to receive the Texas Rugby balls and t-shirts.

Having finished 11-1 in the two Southwest Conference seven’s qualifiers, Texas will be heading to compete in the Southwest Conference Seven’s Championship on September 28th in San Marcos, Texas. There, Texas will have a chance to advance to the Collegiate Seven’s National Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Texas 7’s kicked off this weekend with the first round of the Southwest Conference 7’s series. Texas won 5 out of 6 on the day only losing to UNT 14-10, and is currently tied for 1st in the conference. Hook ‘Em \m/
